WMFA offers in-person movement sessions to connect with people and challenge mind and body. Open to all levels—everything is modifiable and designed to be adjusted to personal preference*

We call these WEDNESDAY MOVES, 6:30-7:30 am, meeting at a variety of outdoor locations around North/NW PDX. Plenty of fresh air + good people. Great vibes + PROUD MARY COFFEE PROVIDED (!)

WMFA is continuing the on-site fitness & yoga classes that we’ve offered under Wy’east Wolfpack for the past 10+ years. We’ve been leading these sessions for a long time and working with these sorts of groups has been some of the most gratifying work we’ve done.
The functional fitness & yoga sessions aim to provide a welcoming and accessible environment in which to improve a person’s physical and mental health. We all know that stress and burnout is very real and we’re passionate about helping people avoid these common pitfalls.

Goodness is a perfect first step, and our on-site sessions are a great addition for folks on top of that, but sometimes you want to take it a bit further and provide something a little more in-depth on a given topic. Wellness Workshops dig into key topics like sleep science and the importance of proper rest, mindfulness & stress relief through meditation and breath work, accessible ways to cook nutritious, delicious food, and so on.

It’s necessary and healthy for teams to get away from the office, or primary place of work, and get out into the world with each other—to meet in a different environment to brainstorm, or learn, or relax and have fun, or sometimes all of the above. We love sharing our enthusiasm and passions with others in many ways, including speaking engagements. Willie McBride has given speeches and presentations to all sorts and sizes of groups over the past 13 years, often using stories of his outdoor adventures all over the world (with eye-popping pictures to boot) as a vehicle to dig deeper into life philosophy and how the takeaways from daring adventures of all sizes can benefit us in our lives and careers. He has also lead meditations and visualizations for teams like On Running, numerous presentations on adventures and mental toughness/mindset training for Knot Springs Resilient Running program, Mountain Shop, and others, a three-part series on Sustainable Running for the Portland Frontrunners, and many more!
